Legon Cities FC must quickly come out of their shells and begin to win games in the 2020/21 season if they want to retain their Ghana premier league status.
The Royals’ quest for three points to keep them afloat of the drop zone was dashed by Asante Kotoko in a 1-0 match day 22 defeat last Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
A Fabio Gama free kick well connected by Augustine Okrah on the 16th minute condemned Cities to yet another defeat.
With twelve games to end the season, the club’s striker and former Black Stars skipper, Asamoah Gyan says they need to begin picking points if they must survive relegation
“We have to continue the job.
“Any club that plays against us gets a good run for his money because of our quality.
“We also perform against the big teams.
“Where we should focus is, we must not lose some points.
“So the remaining twelve matches, we will fight till the end so we see what happens.” Asamoah Gyan said.
Legon Cities are not lying too good on the league table after picking just four points from their last five matches.
They currently lie 16th on the league table with 23 points from 22 games.
Head coach of the side, Bashir Hayford has come under fire with his work looking like on the line.
Former Asante Kotoko coach, Maxwell Konadu is rumored to be in line for the Legon Cities job.
