Head coach of West Africa Football Academy, Prosper Narteh Ogum has opened up on the lessons he offers his young squad.
The Academy side have a very young squad which some times makes it difficult for them to cope with the physicality of the Ghana Premier League.
The youngsters have however defied the odds and are lying in a respectable 8th position with 32 points after 22 games in the 2020/21 Ghana premier league.
Prosper Narteh spoke of what he has been teaching his young squad about the premier league terrain.
“I’ve been telling them that the nature of the Ghana Premier League is such that it is played in a hard, tough and rough manner.
“And as players they need to be expectant of those moments by opponents playing it tough and rough.
“I think gradually it is sinking down into their mindset that when we go on the road we are going to experience it that way and they have to be up and doing.
“I think it is good for the game.” Prosper Narteh Ogum said.
WAFA came from a goal down to beat Berekum Chelsea 3-2 on match day 22 at the Golden City Park on Friday, April 30.
They have 32 points lying 8th on the league log.
They will next play in form Accra Great Olympics in match-day 23 at Sogakope on Sunday, May 9.
