GPL: Clubs can hardly boast of home advantage – Kasim Mingle

Bechem United coach, Kassim Mingle says clubs no longer have “home advantage” due to the tough nature of the 2020/21 Ghana premier league.

Bechem United have blown hot and cold in the 22 week old league season.

The Hunters blew aside former Ghana premier league champions, Aduana Stars 4-0 in match day 20 at the Bechem Park.

They however fell by the same score line in match day 21 to AshantiGold at the Len Clay Stadium Stadium.

They tucked aside that heavy defeat to the Miners to beat bottom placed Inter Allies 2-1 in match day 22 at Bechem Park.

Kassim Mingle believes clubs can no longer boast of home advantage in the league.

“It doesn’t matter your home ground or where.

“Wherever you are going to play, you have to focus and make sure you win.

“This second round there is no home advantage.

“Berekum Chelsea lost at their home ground so any team can lose at their home ground so we have learnt a lesson from it that it is not going to be easy in our home ground.” Kassim Mingle said.

Bechem United lie 7th on the league table with 33 points from 22 games.

The Hunters will travel as guest of Karela United at Anyinase for match day 23 on Sunday, May 9.
