King Faisal head coach, Kasim Gokyildiz has talked about some refereeing decisions in their 2-0 loss to Hearts of Oak in the week 23 game of the 2020/21 season.
There have been spates of poor officiating in the past weeks with some coaches registering their displeasure.
Dreams FC coach, Vladislav Viric, Kasim Mingle of Bechem United, Kotoko’s Mariano Baretto are just a few coaches who have not been enthused with recent refereeing decisions.
Kasim Gokyildiz says referee Maale Ireme denied them a clear penalty when Hearts of Oak’s Fatawu Mohammed clipped Zubairu Ibrahim in their goal area.
“When you see how we have played and that we are also had our chances and that a clear penalty was not given to us.
“I have to ask all of you [journalists at press conference] that if this position is not a penalty?
“When you you can expect a penalty if not at that position.
“So I don’t know, I’m disappointed that we do not take a point with us home at least.
“But I’m not disappointed about how we have played and I’m proud of y players how they have played today’s [against Hearts of Oak] game.
“Hearts of Oak to play is always difficult and hard and it was a tough game.
“Good chances for both but with a little bit of luck and good referee, I have to tell that especially, with a good referee, today we would go home with one point or with all points.” Kasim Gokyildiz said.
King Faisal are 17th on the 23 week old premier league with 23 points.
