Accra Great Olympics defied one of the biggest odds to claim all three points against West Africa Football Academy in match day 23 of the 2020/21 Ghana premier league.
The Dade Boys are in the form of their lives but many football fans did not tip them to pick three maximum points away.
Captain of the side, Gladson Awako is happy with the perseverance shown to earn the three points from Sogakope.
He tweeted:
Olympics shot themselves into the lead when captain, Gladson Awako on the 14th minute swept in a sweet free kick into WAFA’s near post to beat goalkeeper Osei Bonsu.
The visitors held on to the slim lead into the break.
Back from recess, Olympics took the game to WAFA which resulted in an own goal when Konadu Yiadom gifted the visitors the lead.
WAFA in no time were out of hibernation, pulling a double equalizer in a space of seven minutes.
Enoch Asubonteng and Justus Torsutse scored on the 69th and 76th minutes respectively to peg the game at 2-2.
The two time Ghana premier league holders however left it late to shock the home fans.
Burly striker, Abdul Manaf Mudasiru rose from the bench to score his first ever goal in as many matches.
His added time goal won the day for Olympics at the dreaded Sogakope Stadium to maintain 3rd spot with 40 points from 23 matches.
