USM Alger’s latest signing, Kwame Poku believes his former club, Asante Kotoko can easily win the 2020/21 Ghana premier league.
The 21-year-old left the Porcupine Warriors for the Algerian club in a four-and-a-half year deal but still keeps tabs with his former side.
Poku scored 9 goals prior to making an official move to Algeria.
Speaking to Kumasi fm, the former Nkoranza Warriors striker is confident Kotoko can win the league with good performance.
“I don’t sleep when Kotoko is action; I always want to check online for the scores every seconds or minutes.
“I have a strong feeling that, as the players are performing, I won’t be surprised that we (Kotoko) will win the league so easily, because looking at our 4 matches ahead, we can win all of them,” Kwame Opoku told Kumasi FM.
Kwame Poku was on target on his USM Alger debut in the Algerian Cup against bitter rivals, MC Alger.
Poku made his Black Stars debut in the 1-1 draw with South Africa in Johannesburg in a penultimate 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
