Karela United head coach, Evans Adotey has ruled out being under any form of pressure in the 2020/21 Ghana premier league.
The Anyinase based club were seriously contending the top two of the league in the first round but somehow lost steam in the second.
Karela squeezed a 2-1 victory from troublesome Bechem United in match day 23 at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park last Sunday.
With Kotoko leading the league log and Medeama, Great Olympics and Hearts of Oak following suit in great speed, it looks increasingly difficult for Karela to make the top two.
Evans Adotey says he is not under pressure to finish on a high at the end of the season.
“I am not under pressure and no pressure will come on me.
“I stick to my game plan and I stick to my style of play.
“And my boys are adhering to my commands.
“Except that the win is not coming.
“So there is no pressure on me, Karela is not the first team I’m coaching.
“I’ve coached AshGold, I’ve coached Medeama, I’ve coached Bechem United.
“I’ve been to Africa several times, I’ve coached the national teams so there is no pressure on me.” Evans Adotey said.
The former AshantiGold trainer has led Karela to two draws and a win in their last three matches.
A 1-1 draw at home to Hearts of Oak and same score line against King Faisal away, saw them pick two points from a possible six.
They returned home to beat Bechem United 2-1 in match day 23.
They lie 5th on the league table with 37 points from 23 matches.
Their next trip is away to Elmina Sharks at the Nduom Stadium in match day 24 on Wednesday, May 12.
