Kumasi King Faisal’s aim to retain their premier league status keeps looking like a mountain each week.
The “Insha Allah Boys” are not lying too good on the 2020/21 Ghana premier league table having failed to pick much points since the beginning of the season.
The club has undergone reshuffle in their technical team for the last months with Serbian trainer, Slavisa Bozicic and current Liberty Professionals coach, Nana Andy Sinason passing through the ranks.
Faisal under new Turkish trainer, Kasim Gokyildiz have seen an improved performance but results have been hard to come by.
They lost 2-0 to Hearts of Oak in match day 23 at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday.
They currently lie 17th with 23 points from 22 matches and coach Gokyildiz admits their survival hopes lie in their hands.
“When you see and when you follow up how we played the last games, I’m absolutely sure that we are able to survive,” Kasim Gokyildiz said.
The Turkish trainer is however banging his hopes on “good luck” and better officiating to escape relegation.
“But the luck and a better referee have to be on the pitch so that we will be able to survive.
“We play against all our opponents so it’s in our own hands to survive or to go back.” Kasim Gokyildiz said.
