Head coach of Ebusua Dwarfs, Ernest Thompson has thrown cold water on the supposed quality of Asante Kotoko in their defeat.
Dwarfs lost 2-1 to Asante Kotoko in match day 24 of the 2020/21 Ghana premier league at the Len Clay Stadium on Wednesday.
Assistant captain, Emmanuel Gyamfi scored twice to claim all the three points.
Ernest Thompson does not believe Kotoko played better than his side.
“Kotoko were an ordinary side, they weren’t too..,they weren’t better than us, it was the howler by my goalkeeper, another howler.
“You see it hurts when these things happen, it makes you feel sad.
“After the hard work and the goalkeeper gives away such a cheap ball, very disheartening, rather unfortunate that it had to end this way.
“Much as he made some very good saves in the game, a goalkeeper of his stature shouldn’t have allowed that goal.
“We could have “killed” the game in the first half but it was unfortunate.” Ernest Thompson said.
The defeat notwithstanding leaves Dwarfs on 13th with 27 points from 24 games.
Dwarfs will welcome Dreams FC on Monday May 17 to the Cape Coast Stadium.
