Head coach of Legon Cities FC, Bashir Hayford is not happy over his attackers low scoring rate.
The Royals have found it hard to score in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.
Even the inclusion of former Black Stars captain and Ghana’s all time top scorer, Asamoah Gyan has not saved their scoring deficiencies.
They last lost 1-0 to West Africa Football Academy in match day 25 at the Sogakope Park despite winning possession and creating all the necessary goal scoring chances.
Bashir Hayford admits his attackers are not taking their chances and he must work on that in the remaining games.
“If you ask me I will say that we played almost 70% of the game but we couldn’t bury the chances we created.
“So it was a nice game for us but the result, it was not the true reflection of what happened.
“Nothing went wrong, they utilized their chance and we couldn’t, we created all the chances.
“We create all the chances and we can’t score?, nothing went wrong.
“It means we have to go back and work on our scoring rate.” Bashir Hayford said.
Legon Cities are 15th on the league table with 26 points from 25 matches.
Liberty Professionals follow in 16th with just a point less than the Royals.
The Scientific Soccer Lads could topple them if they beat Kotoko in match week 25 on Sunday, May 16 at the Sogakope Park.
