The Ghana premier league title race is getting keener by the week.
Kotoko are looking for a 24th title with Hearts of Oak aiming to break their over a decade trophy drought.
With the 2020/21 league season rounding up matches day 25 over the weekend, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak share first and second spots on the table respectively.
The Porcupine Warriors lead the log on 45 points with the Phobians seated second on 43 points.
Notwithstanding the keen contest and closeness of points, Hearts of Oak midfielder, Benjamin Afutu says they are not bothered by the tough challenge from rivals, Kotoko.
“Although the point’s difference is not huge but we are not paying attention to our rivals [Kotoko].
“We are concentrating on our game so that we can position ourselves well on the league table .” Afutu said.
Afutu has been key for the 20 time Ghana champions, marshaling the midfield with great skill.
He was adjudged best player when Hearts of Oak defeated Elmina Sharks 2-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium in match day 25.
