Head coach of West Africa Football Academy, Prosper Narteh Ogum has urged his charges to guard against complacency.
The young lads have had a respectable run in the 25 week old 2020/21 Ghana Premier league.
The Academy Boys shocked strugglers, Legon Cities FC 1-0 at the Sogakope Park in match day 25 courtesy a Justus Torsutse’s first half strike.
WAFA coach Narteh Ogum believes his young squad must remain focused despite a fair run in the league.
“We are getting better and I hope we can get better and it’s up to the boys to stay focused.
“They don’t have to let some of these things eat into their head, they have to keep working hard, keep doing the right things and having the mentality that whether it’s home or away they are capable of winning.
“Once they are able to get this mentality, everybody knows WAFA, as for playing the ball we can play but it’s about the mentality.
“Getting to know that they can play well at home and away.” Prosper Narteh Ogum said.
WAFA have picked 12 points from their last five matches only losing 3-2 to Great Olympics in match day 23 at the Sogakope Park.
They currently lie 8th on the league table with 38 points from 25 matches.
Their week 26 fixture is an away game to league leaders, Asante Kotoko on Saturday, May 22 at the Len Clay Stadium.
