English giants, Manchester United are banking their hopes on the club’s former scout, Tom Vernon to capture Ghana international, Kamaldeen Sulemana.
The 19-year-old has appeared on the radar of United and Dutch giants, Ajax whose sporting director, Mark Overmars watched him in a league game last week.
Reports indicate that Ajax have tabled a £12m in total to prize away Sulemana from Austrian club, Nordsjaelland.
Manchester United are bent on surpassing the amount offered by Ajax with Nordsjaelland demanding £15m.
The Red Devils are holding talks with Nordsjaelland chairman, Tom Vernon who was former United scout to help speed up the process of capturing the Ghanaian prodigy.
United, 20-times England champions will not want to lose Sulemana to Ajax after missing out on the signature of another Ghanaian, Mohammed Kudus to the same side.
Sulemana joined Nordsjaelland in February 2020 and has gone on to score ten goals, given seven assist in 28 games.
