Legon Cities FC defender, Joseph Adjei wants to work his sleeves off to command a regular shirt at the senior national team, the Black Stars.
Adjei, alongside six other local players was named in coach Charles Akonnor’s 30-man squad for next month’s international friendlies.
The lanky defender wants to work hard to earn a starting place in the senior national team.
“The feeling is great, I feel so happy and I’m much grateful to God.
“I can’t say anything different but we are all the same.
“What I will do is to fight hard, keep pushing hard to get there.” Joseph Adjei told Legon Cities TV.
Joseph Adjei earned a late Black Stars call up for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations doubleheader qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.
The Black Stars will take on Morocco in Rabat on June 8, before facing Côte d’Ivoire in Cape Coast on June 12.
