King Faisal’s winger, Zubairu Ibrahim has admitted to the poor standing of the club in the 2020/21 Ghana premier league season.
The young talent has been a revelation for the “Insha Allah Boys” despite their poor showing in the league.
The 16-year-old was on the double when Faisal beat Bechem United 3-1 in match day 25 at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
He is confident they will escape relegation notwithstanding the general lackluster of the club.
“Our position on the log is nothing good to write home about hence we were determined to beat Bechem United.
“There are still a lot of games to play so we only have to concentrate and take it game after game so we can escape relegation.
“We are mostly affected by the defeats we have been recording so we put much effort during preparation towards games and I think it has started paying off.” Zubairu Ibrahim said.
King Faisal are 17th on the league table with 26 points from 25 matches.
They have same points as Liberty Professionals and a win in their next game against Elmina Sharks on Sunday, May 23 will help their survival hopes.
