Asante Kotoko are targeting the Ghana premier league title which has eluded them for seven seasons.
The two time African champions currently lead the 2020/21 Ghana premier league table with 45 points from 25 matches.
They have two points better than bitter rivals, Hearts of Oak who follow in second on 43 points.
Kotoko central defender, Ismail Abdul Ganiu is confident they will win the ongoing season despite the tough challenge.
“What we are looking at is taking the trophy and is not going to be easy we just trying to work one or two things together and then motivate ourselves and get the maximum points that will push us to get the trophy at the end.
“The aim and the mentality is to be champions and the end of the season,” Ganiu said.
“We want to work hard and be the best at the end of the season and Ishah Allah we shall see through it but match after match we are just going to improve few things, though there are few injury worries and stuff, we will do our best to get to the highest level Ishah Allah.” Ganiu added.
Kotoko have a date with West Africa Football Academy in match day 26 at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.
The 24 times Ghana champions will look beat WAFA and hope that rivals, Hearts of Oak falter against Eleven Wonders in order to stretch the lead.
