Great Olympics burly striker, Abdul Mannan Mudasiru had not scored a single goal prior to the club’s last three matches.
He was the club’s leading striker in the first round but having failed to find the net in as many as seventeen matches, head coach of the side, Annor Walker took a decision to now start him from the bench.
In statistics compiled by hardworking journalist, Mohammed Shaban, the well built forward has scored 3 consecutive times as a substitute for the Dade Boys.
Mudasiru scored an important winner for Olympics in a 3-2 win against WAFA at the Sogakope Park in match day 23.
He repeated the dose as a super-substitute however in their 3-2 defeat to Aduana Stars in week 24.
He could not find the net in their slim 1-0 defeat to AshantiGold at the Len Clay Stadium in week 25 but grabbed the winner in a 1-0 win against strugglers, Inter Allies on Sunday in match day 26.
The three substitute goal tally equals the record of on-loan Eleven Wonders striker, Prince Okraku.
Annor Walker believes his decision to start the huge striker from the bench is paying off.
“In the first round you know he was my top man but seventeen matches without a goal, but he was giving chances to Abbey Ashie and Michael Yeboah to be scoring.
“So this second round I realized no, I have to try him from the bench.
“And I tried from WAFA , it worked for me and it has still worked till now.
“So he has been my super-sub for now.” Annor Walker said.
Great Olympics are gunning for the top four in the 2020/21 Ghana premier league.
They have collected 43 points from 26 matches and sit 4th on the league table.
