Asante Kotoko enterprising left back, Imoro Ibrahim has admitted that they were desperate to score to claim all three points against WAFA.
The Porcupine Warriors led the week 26 clash from Ismail Abdul Ganiu’s penalty with just three minutes played at the Len Clay Stadium on Saturday.
The record league holders’ quest to reclaim top spot from rivals, Hearts of Oak was dashed when Justus Torsutse’s late header, sent the game into 1-1 after full time.
Imoro Ibrahim, who scooped his fourth man-of-the-match award after that game, says they needed the three points badly.
“We needed these points very much but we did our best, we worked hard for it but we couldn’t get it.
“So we are looking forward to our next game.
“We were eager to score, we wanted the three points very much.
“It’s not because of Hearts of Oak but we needed the points but we couldn’t get it.” Ibrahim Imoro said.
The draw meant Kotoko were not able to go top of the 2020/21 Ghana league table despite being level on 46 points as Hearts of Oak.
The Phobians have a superior goal difference to the Porcupine Warriors.
