Karela United’s venue, the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in Anyinase has been a Waterloo for a number of Ghana premier league clubs in the 2020/21 Ghana league season.
However, Ghana’s two biggest clubs, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak have ground good results from the dreaded venue.
Kotoko stunned Karela 2-0 with Hearts of Oak picking a valuable point in a 1-1 draw at the CAM Park.
Karela midfielder, Umar Bashiru has picked their second round duel against Hearts of Oak in their 1-1 draw as his toughest game in the 26 week old league.
“So far I think my toughest game will be, let me say, let me choose Accra Hearts of Oak.
“In our 1-1 draw against them in Anyinase here.
“It was a very tough and very intense game so I will say my toughest game so far is against Accra Hearts of Oak.” Umar Basir told Adamu Muftawu of Africa-Foot.com.
Bashiru has been a pivot in midfield for Karela since joining them on a free in the 2019/20 league season.
The 23-year-old has previously played for WAFA and Kotoko.
Karela lie 5th on the league table with 42 points from 26 matches.
They will next play in form Great Olympics in match 27 at the CAM Park on Friday, May 28.
