Nigeria international, Samuel Chukwueze has gone religious after his side, Villarreal triumphed over Manchester United in the finals of the UEFA EUROPA League on Wednesday.
The Spanish side took the lead on the 29th minute of the first half through Gerard Moreno at the Polsat Plus Arena in Gdańsk, Poland.
The Yellow Submarines finished the first half leading by the slim margin.
United however pulled level on the 55th minute from the boot of Uruguay striker, Edinson Cavani to send the game into extra time after the entire duration.
The extra time did not produce any more goals leading to a marathon penalty shootouts.
United goalkeeper, David de Gea sent the Red Devil’s eleventh penalty kick into the hands of Villarreal keeper, Geronimo Rulli to end the game 11-10 for the Spanish side.
Chukwueze, 22 , who missed the game due to injury could not stop praising God for their victory.
Chukwueze has played at the U-17 level for Nigeria.
He was invited for the 2019 AFCON in Egypt where the Super Eagles defeated Tunisia to win bronze.
The win is Villarreal’s first ever UEFA EUROPA League trophy under former Arsenal coach, Unai Emery who previously won it three times with Seville.
