Asante Kotoko reclaimed the summit of the 2020/11 Ghana premier league on temporary basis despite holding Aduana Stars to a goalless draw at Dormaa.
The Porcupine Warriors before traveling to the Agyemang Badu Park were tied on 46 points with rivals, Hearts of Oak.
After picking a point in their barren game against Aduana in match day 27, Kotoko went on 47 points, dropping Hearts of Oak into second.
The Phobians will however clear their week 27 fixture against Berekum Chelsea at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday with a win or draw taking them back to the top of the table.
Kotoko coach, Mariano Baretto is not a happy man following the result from Dormaa.
“We gave too much spaces, our midfield was too much down and they created some chance.
“In the dressing room we talked, second half was completely different, we controlled the game.
“But we didn’t make any goal even we had one fantastic shot but Kumi control was very bad and the ball miss.
“Aduana always try to create more problems but with these difficulty, we solve it.
“But we can’t win, we didn’t win and we are disappointed.” Baretto said.
Kotoko will be at home to AshantiGold on Sunday, June 6 for match day 28.
