Head coach of Ebusua Dwarfs, Ernest Thompson has rued the painful defeat suffered against WAFA in Sogakope in match day 27 of the 2020/21 Ghana premier league.
Dwarfs went down in the second half through Enoch Asubonteng’s 54th minute goal.
Dwarfs fought back, drawing level on the 68th minute from the boot of Richard Addai.
The Crabs however gave away the equalizer with an own goal at the embers of game for WAFA to carry a 2-1 home win.
The visitors coach, Ernest Thompson described the defeat as “a sad ending.”
“My boys actually played very well but it was a sad ending.
“Because we don’t deserve to lose this match looking at the way the match actually went.
“We dominated the greater part of the second half, we played far better than WAFA.
“We forced them to commit blunders and we were able to equalize but the sad ending, where we had to concede an own goal.
“It’s really heartbreaking.” Ernest Thompson said.
Dwarfs are 12th on the league log with 31 points from 27 matches.
They welcome Aduana Stars on match day 28 at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday, June 6.
