Head coach of Medeama SC, Yaw Preko saved himself from the anger of the club’s followers after a slim win over neighbors, Karela United in the 2020/21 Ghana premier league.
A last gasp header by central defender, Vincent Atinga earned the Mauve and Yellow all three points at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa on match day 28.
Preko who came under intense pressure following a 3-0 loss to basement club, Inter Allies in week 27 fixture, believes he must still work hard despite the win.
Quizzed as to whether he is a relieved man, the ex-Ghana international said.
“[Yes I’m a relieved man] but that doesn’t mean I should sleep.
“ I don’t have to sleep but I still have to work.
“It’s part of the job, it’s a learning process.
“We are still on course [for the top four finish].” Yaw Preko said.
Medeama per the win climb into 3rd on the league log with 46 points from 28 matches.
Medeama SC will be at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, June 13 to face their former coach, Samuel Boadu who handles Accra Hearts of Oak in week 29 fixture.
