Asante Kotoko legend, Frimpong Manso has charged the Ghana Football Association to “wake up from sleep” following Black Meteors’ horrible performance against Japan’s U-24.
The Ghana U-23 side suffered a humiliating 10-0 defeat in a double international friendly against the Blue Samurai in Japan.
The first game saw Ghana crumbled under a 6-0 demolition with the second score line reduced to a 4-0 defeat under the watchful eyes of coach Paa Kwasi Fabin.
Japan’s u24 team beat Ghana’s u24 team 10-0 on aggregate in two games.

With the patchy performance displayed by a disjointed squad, Frimpong Manso believes it is a signal for the FA to begin a proper planning for Ghana football.
“Our performance against Japan showed that our Football Association need to start planning for the upcoming Africa Games.
“We need to build a transitional team whereby players will be in camp on time for special assignment if necessary.
“We have to organise number of matches,we shouldn’t wait for others to call us but we should rather make such arrangements for the sake of our players.” Frimpong Manso told West FM of Elubo.
The Japanese used the Black Meteors game as a dress rehearsal for the upcoming 2020 Olympic Games on their land, Tokyo.
The Black Meteors have a two friendly against another Asian side, South Korea before returning to Ghana.
Ghana did not qualify for the 2020 Olympics.
