Head coach of Legon Cities FC, Bashir Hayford has made a bold statement about their relegation survival in the 2020/21 Ghana premier league.
The Royals have drifted far away from the relegation struggles after winning their last four out of five matches.
Cities last weekend nailed basement club, Inter Allies 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium, courtesy a Cephas Doku’s 57th minute strike.
They currently lie 9th on the league table with 38 points from 28 matches.
The experienced Bashir Hayford boasts of their relegation survival.
“We are comfortably seated at the 9th position because the gap is now widened.
“So even if we lose the next match, all those behind us, even if they win they cannot catch us.
“So comfortably we are at the 9th position, yes.
“Our next game and the following game, you will see us coming up again.” Bashir Hayford told Africa-foot.com
Legon Cities have a tough test against Karela United at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in match day 29 on Sunday, 13.
