Black Stars head coach, Charles Akonnor has promised to fish out for goal scorers if one is found anywhere.
Ghana has gone two international friendly games without scoring a single goal.
The Stars lost 1-0 on Tuesday to Morocco in Rabat courtesy substitute, Jawad El Yamiq’s header from Hakim Ziyech’s 67th minute cross.
Ghana returned for their second game against the Elephants of Ivory Coast at the Cape Coast Stadium on Saturday, June 22 and yet failed to score with the game ending barren.
In an interview after the game, C K Akonnor says, the team has done good in the double friendly.
“Of course Wakaso and a few guys are not in, when they come in there will be improvement, I’m very very sure.
“And what we’ve done with Morocco and today, definitely we could get somewhere,” Akonnor said.
The former Hearts of Oak and Kotoko coach has not ruled out scouting for players who would end the stars’ goal drought.
“If there is anybody who is a scorer and good, we will look for that person but so far what we have now, we have to work and improve in that area.
“It’s very very important because without goals you cannot be a winner so we need to do that.” Akonnor said.
Ghana will open their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia in September.
