Deputy coach of Medeama SC, Yaw Acheampong has lashed out at referee Ali Musah after their defeat last Sunday in week 29 to Hearts of Oak in Accra.
The Mauve and Yellow succumbed to the Phobians’ high tempo game and in the process fell by 2-0 in the 2020/21 Ghana premier league season.
Yaw Acheampong for inexplicable reasons, was not happy with Ali Musah’s officiating on the day.
“I will say that, I think the match was bigger than the referee, that is what I will say.
“I believe you all watched the game, he had to take full control of the game and he couldn’t do that, so that is what I will say.” Yaw Acheampong said.
Medeama despite the defeat are still in the top four race.
Yaw Acheampong is confident that the title chase is not over for the two time CAF Confederation Cup participants.
“We still haven’t given up, we are still fighting and we believe that at the end of the season we will achieve our target.” Yaw Acheampong added.
Medeama are 4th on the league table with 46 points from 29 matches.
