Legon Cities FC goalkeeper, Sylvester Sackey has sounded a word of caution to Hearts of Oak ahead of their week 30 clash on Wednesday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Royals fell 2-0 at Anyinase to Karela in the week 29 fixture but are bent on stopping the Phobians in their tracks in a bid to drift farther from relegation battle.
Sackey , who has been important for Cities in goal, has warned the Phobians not to rely on their big name players.
“We are not going to play against names, we are going to play players.
“We will match them boot for boot if we are able to correct our mistakes and focus it’s possible.
“It’s a team work and when it goes well with us, we are going to perform well.” Sylvester Sackey told Africa-foot.com.
The task to stop Hearts of Oak will be a tough one, as coach Samuel Boadu has lead his side to seven unbeaten games in the 2020/21 league season.
The 20 time champions have recorded six wins and a draw which came against city rivals, Great Olympics.
The Phobian’s aim to win a league title for the first time in over a decade is another snag Legon Cities must deal with.
Legon Cities have 38 points in 9th as against leaders, Hearts of Oak’s 53.
