Legon Cities FC’s fight to stay in the Ghana premier league will be given a major test against Hearts of Oak on Wednesday.
The Royals welcome in-form Hearts of Oak to the Accra Sports Stadium in match day 30.
Cities go into the game from a 2-0 defeat on match day 29 to Karela at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in Anyinase on Sunday.
Deputy coach, Wahid Mohammed is confident they will stop the 20-time champions in their tracks.
“We have to stop Accra Hearts of Oak.
This time round we are going to stop Hearts of Oak with the likes of Afutu and even with their current coach, Samuel Boadu, we are going to stop them.
“With due respect to Samuel Boadu and Hearts of Oak, we are going to stop Hearts of Oak.” Wahid Mohammed told Africa-foot.com.
Cities pushed a bit farther from the relegation battle after picking 12 points from their last five games before losing their sixth to Karela.
They currently occupy 9th on the league log with 38 points with five matches to end the season.
