Former Kotoko defender, Amos Frimpong has tipped the week 31 clash between the Porcupine Warriors and Hearts of Oak as the determiner of the 2020/21 league winner.
Hearts of Oak welcome their sworn rivals to the Accra Sports Stadium on June 27 of the 2020/21 Ghana premier league.
The two sides’ clash in the first round ended goalless when Kotoko adopted the Accra Sports Stadium as home ground.
Amos Frimpong, who currently plays for Techiman Eleven Wonders believes Kotoko have an advantage over Hearts of Oak in that game.
“It’s looking very tough with both teams having the same points.
“So that game in Accra will be a decider because both teams will win the rest of their games.
“Whoever wins [the game in Accra], wins the league.
“And l tip Kotoko to win the League because we have a very good record against them [Hearts of Oak] in Accra and l am confident Kotoko will beat Hearts on that day.” Amos Frimpong, the former Kotoko captain told Frank Agyam of Germany based Topical Radio.
Hearts of Oak and Kotoko share 53 points from 29 games but the Phobians are top of the table courtesy superior goal difference.
The 2000 CAF Champions League winners have gone seven games unbeaten with six wins and just a draw coming against Great Olympics.
The Porcupine Warriors have equally churned out impressive results having recorded four wins and three draws in their last seven games.
Hearts of Oak have a date against Legon Cities FC in match day 29 at the Accra Sports Stadium with Kotoko welcoming 3rd place Karela to the Len Clay Stadium on June 23.
