Black Meteors central defender, Frank Kwabena Assinki has rued the team’s dreadful Asian tour.
The Black Meteors played four friendly games against Japan and Korea over two legs each.
Ghana’s disgraceful outing began with a 6-0 defeat to Japan in their first clash with the second game finishing 4-0 in Japan’s favour.
A cumulative 10-0 defeat over the two legs against Japan sent shock waves down the spine of many Ghanaians football fans.
Assinki admits never expecting such a massive defeat.
“So far I have regretted because I did not expect such a score line.
“I never expected the huge score line, you know.
“Although it’s a football game but we shall move on because it’s a lesson for us.
“There are mistakes to correct, we shall do so and move on.” Frank Assinki told Africa-foot.com.
The Black Meteors’ second game was against Korea where they lost 3-1 and 2-1 over two legs to cap the Asian tour with a cumulative 15-2 defeat.
Assinki is one of the National U-20 players from the 2021 Africa Youth Championship winning team in Mauritania to be selected for the international friendly.
He played his Ghana football with Inter Allies before joining Danish club, HB Koege in a long term deal.
He was however sent on loan to lower tier side, Roskilde KFUM for more playing time where he garnered three games with no goals and assists.
Thanks for the credit family.
