Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Samuel Boadu has warned his players against sleeping on goal scoring opportunities.
The Phobians were in another blistering form in their 4-1 thumping of lower tier side, Windy Professionals in the MTN FA Cup round 32 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The 2000 CAF Champions League winners blew away numerous goal scoring chances in the first half leading to a stalemate.
Hearts of Oak refilled their engine in the second half, scoring all four with Windy Professionals grabbing one of them.
Samuel Boadu wants his charges to make use of the least goal scoring opportunity that presents itself.
“Hearts of Oak players, what I will tell them is, they should not take things for granted.
“If you look at the first half [againts Windy Professionals], we created about eight chances.
“If nothing at all, we should have scored four out of the eight chances.
“We should not wait until the last minute before taking chances.
“When we act like that, it will not help us.” Samuel Boadu said.
The win is the 2004 CAF Confederation Cup winners’ nine wins out of 10 games in all competitions.
Hearts of Oak lead the 2020/21 Ghana premier league table with goals difference but share 53 points with rivals, Asante Kotoko.
