Legon Cities FC made a respectable investment regarding player purchase and dropping to play in lower football will be a blow to their owners.
The acquisition of former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan in a reported $1 million deal is a news that cannot be swept under the carpet.
A couple of big name signings plus one time Black Stars number one, Fatau Dauda are now on the Royals’ radar.
Fatau Dauda joined the side after ending his stay with Nigeria club, Enyimba.
With Legon Cities lying 9th on the 2020/21 Ghana premier league log with 38 points and not completely safe from relegation, the 36-year-old Dauda is focused on saving his side from the drop.
“For now I’m focused on my club [Legon Cities FC], how I will survive with the club.
“That is the most important thing.” Fatau Dauda told Legon Cities TV.
Cities have a tough week 30 game against Premier league leaders, Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday, June 23.
Fatau Dauda has played locally for Okwawu United, AshantiGold twice and now Legon Cities FC.
Dauda has had stints with Orlando Pirates of South Africa and Enyimba of Nigeria.
He was a member of Black Stars squad in the 2008 AFCON on home soil before taking the number one spot at the 2013 edition in South Africa where Ghana finished 4th after losing to Mali.
