Accra Hearts of Oak captain, Fatawu Mohammed believes that, a player needs character to withstand the pressure that comes with Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko games.
The skipper was voted man-of-the-match in the Phobian’s 1-0 victory over rivals, Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday in the week 31 fixture.
A 66th minute strike by forward, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh silenced Kotoko to send the millennium champions on 59 points in first, three head of Kotoko.
Fatawu Mohammed talks about the need to have character in such a rivalry games.
“Sometimes these kind of matches it’s not about the form, it’s not about who knows how to play.
“It’s not about your form but it’s about the character and the behavior on the field of play.
“That is why we calmed down until we got one goal.
“It’s left with three matches to play, anything can happen but we will go back to our drawing board and correct our mistakes for our next three matches.” Fatawu Mohammed said.
