Former Asante Kotoko management member, Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh has bemoaned the lackluster performance displayed by the Porcupines against Hearts of Oak last Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors were shocked 1-0 by bitter rivals, Hearts of Oak courtesy Daniel Afriyie Barnieh’s 66th minute strike at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The defeat saw Kotoko go behind Hearts of Oak by three points after match day 31 of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
Yamoah Ponko believes Kotoko have lost the groove they once possessed.
“At a point I thought Hearts of Oak were engaging Phar Rangers and not Kotoko.
“If there should be a return encounter, Hearts of Oak will beat Kotoko again even if it is in Kumasi, they will score more than two goals.” Yamoah Ponkoh said.
Kotoko have 56 points, three less than leaders, Hearts of Oak on the league with three games to end the season.
