Former Asante Kotoko Board Member, Afrifa Yamoah Ponko has said that current Chief Executive, Nana Yaw Amponsah does not merit the position.
Nana Yaw Amponsah was named CEO of Kotoko back in August, 2020 following the dissolution of the George Amoako led administration.
The 2019 GFA presidential aspirant has been tasked with overseeing one of Ghana’s biggest clubs for the next three years.
Kotoko are however on the verge of losing the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League title to rivals, Hearts of Oak who lead the table with 59 points as against the Porcupine’s 56.
Yamoah Ponko said of Nana Yaw Amponsah and his administration.
“How can Nana Yaw Amponsah’s administration defeat Hearts of Oak?
“Nana Amponsah is riding on the back of the almighty Asante Kotoko.
“As to whether he will be able to lead Asante Kotoko to higher heights is virtually impossible.
“Asante Kotoko is a traditional club and heavier than all of them [Nana Yaw Amponsah’s administration].
“Nana Yaw Amponsah’s administration does not know the stuff Kotoko is made off.” Yamoah Ponko said.
