Asante Kotoko coach, Mariano Baretto has admitted that his team did not recover from the Hearts of Oak defeat moving into their week 32 clash against King Faisal.
The Porcupine Warriors lost 1-0 to their rivals, Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium before switching attention to the week 32 fixture at the Len Clay Stadium Stadium against regional rivals, King Faisal.
Faisal stunned the Kotoko fans when Zubairu Ibrahim shot them into the lead with just 15 minutes played.
Kotoko however left it late to equalize from substitute, Andy Kumi in the 84th minute.
Barreto admits most of his players were nervous.
“After the match we have to recognize that we didn’t recover.
“So we felt very hard the game we lost against Hearts of Oak and some of the players today were so much affected for that and we didn’t play well, we have to recognize it.
“King Faisal scored a goal, never can happen and after that we have to run against the results.
“We didn’t do anything special to change the game because we were so much nervous.” Baretto said.
Kotoko are second on the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League table with 57 points, two less than leaders, Hearts of Oak who play Dwarfs on Sunday at 6:00pm at the Cape Coast Stadium.
