Head coach of Accra Young Wise, Abdul Brobbey says playing against Hearts of Oak was enough motivation for his team.
The Division One club made sure the Phobians dug deep to score just ones in their MTN FA Cup round 16 clash at the Dawu Park on Wednesday.
Daniel Afriyie Barnieh’s penalty separated Young Wise from the FA Cup quarter finals.
Abdul Brobbey said: “A Division One playing against Accra Hearts of Oak, that alone is a motivation for the boys.
“So I’m sure that’s the results of their performance.
“Just playing Hearts of Oak was one thing that motivated them to play at their best.” Abdul Brobbey said.
Hearts of Oak are through to the quarter finals of the competition of which they hold a record 10 trophies.
The millennium champions are eying a double this season as they lead the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League table with 60 points, three more than rivals, Asante Kotoko.
