AshantiGold midfielder, Amos Addai has set sight on the MTN FA Cup title after the club missed out on the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League trophy.
The Miners captain won man-of-the-match when they defeated Kintampo Top Talents in the round of 16 of the FA Cup.
The Miners put 4 goals past Top Talents with the lower tier club replying twice.
AshantiGold will now have a semi final clash against fellow premier league club, Berekum Chelsea who kicked out Asante Kotoko after a 5-4 penalty shootouts at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
Amos, 25 , said in a post match interview, “We set a target to win the premier league but we missed it.
“So we have shifted attention to the MTN FA CUP.
“So now that we have progressed to the semi finals, it will help us get the CAF Confederation Cup slot.
“We are ready to fight and play in Africa.” Amos Addai said.
AshantiGold are four times Ghana Premier League champions, winning their last trophy in 2015.
The one time Ghana FA Cup holders want to return to the CAF Confederation Cup where they last played and got eliminated at the preliminary stage in first round in 2019.
They have appeared in the CAF Champions League final ones in 1997 where they lost on 5-4 penalty shootouts to Morocco side, Raja Casablanca at the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca.
