Giving back to the society, especially to persons who need them the most helps a great deal in alleviating poverty, saving lives and to a large extent supports communal and national development.
Persons who are noted for returning the kindness offered to them by the society after climbing successful life ladders are footballers for that matter sports men.
It is for this reason that illustrious sons of Ghana, Seidu Mutawakilu and Habib Mohammed have collaborated to organize a “CHARITY MATCH” aimed at raising funds to support the poor and the needy.
Seidu Mutawakilu who plays for Nigeria club, Enugu Rangers International once had stints with Ghana’s biggest clubs, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak as well as Dreams FC. He thus knows how it feels not to have much and the need to give back to persons who need much.
Asante Kotoko defender, Habib Mohammed certainly has been through difficult times during his football life and is equally passionate about lending a helping hand to the needy.
Mutawakilu Seidu in an interview with Africa-foot.com, underlined the need for the “CHARITY GAME” and its importance.
“We are organizing a charity match to raise funds to help the orphanages and hospitals who need them to help their people.
“We cannot do it alone and so we need support from other people who can help us give back to the society.” Seidu Mutawakilu told Africa-foot.com.
The CHARITY MATCH comes up in August at a yet to be named venue.
It will be played between selected sides representing Habib Mohammed and Seidu Mutawakilu dubbed, HABIB 11 v MUTA 11.
