Lessons are learnt from mistakes and that is the motivation Great Olympics defender, Philip Sackey will be taking into next season.
Sackey was a member of the Great Olympics squad rated as one of the favorites to win the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
The two times Ghana Premier League holders missed out on the league and the FA Cup titles, going the entire season without a trophy.
Philip Sackey, 24 , however believes there are positives to pick from last season into the yet to start 2021/22 league season.
“It’s quite unfortunate but I believe we will come back strongly next season.
“We performed better last season than the previous season [2019/20 season]. We finished this [2020/21] season strongly in the sixth position.
“So I believe we can take some positives from the season and then move onto the next season.
“I have to keep hope alive that we can finish in the top four and annex the trophy next season.” Philip Sackey told Africa-foot.com.
Great Olympics missed out on the top four after ending last season in 6th with 52 points from 34 matches. They finished with with 15 wins, 7 draws and losing 12 in the process.
