Berekum Chelsea head coach, Seth Hoffman has attributed their heavy defeat in the MTN FA Cup semi finals against AshantiGold to unfavorable officiating.
Berekum Chelsea caused a stir in the quarter finals of the FA Cup after eliminating giants, Asante Kotoko 5-4 via the penalty shootouts at the Len Clay Stadium.
However a 4-1 defeat to AshantiGold in the semi finals at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday, August 1, left Seth Hoffman blaming referee Lateef Adaari and his assistants, Augustine Soglo Dakura and Ato Yawson for their defeat.
“I normally don’t talk of officiating but watch the officiating.
“But today [referee] Lateef [Adaari] and his colleagues.
“Even watch the cards and the things that they showing, everybody saw it, the whole stadium everybody saw it.
“But at the end of the day, it [bad officiating]affected us.
“They whole of the 45 minutes and 90 minutes, all the cards on us, only one or two cards went to AshantiGold but serious cards he didn’t show them.
“So showing us cards, our strength of the boys had to come down because they know when they go in, it will be a disaster of a red card.” Seth Hoffman said.
