The club has however not been able to make an important march to finishing respectably in the Division One League talkless of gaining promotion.

The club has equally been plunged into financial chaos following an alleged money fraud leveled against bankroller, Nana Appiah Mensah [NAM 1] who doubles as the owner of Zylofon Media and the defunct MenzGold.

Michael Osei said in a chat with Collins Atta-Poku of Wontumi Radio.

“The way things were unfolding at Star Madrid, I decided that I will leave at the end of the season and return to coach in the Premier League.

“I came to Star Madrid for a purpose but the club could not perform due to the NAM 1 issues.

“It had a lot of effects on the club, I was working without getting any salary and even my pocket money goes into the club.

“Things were getting worse and the players were sacrificing and so the pressure became too much.

“The moment I decided to leave, Bibiani Gold Stars also came in and with the financial strength and good organization, I can work with them.” Michael Osei told Wontumi Sports.

Agyemang Badu at Inter Allies

The 49-year-old has penciled two former Asante Kotoko central defenders, Agyemang Badu and Evans Owusu who went on to play for Inter Allies and Liberty Professionals respectively to augment his set up.
