Nigeria got off their 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers mark with a blistering speed against Liberia on Friday.
The Super Eagles beat a less fancied Lone Stars 2-0 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium to claim first three points in a Group C game.

Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho’s two first half brace was enough for the former African champions to sink Liberia.
The former Manchester City striker scored first on the 22nd minute before finishing off with just a minute to end half time.
Iheanacho was pulled out of the game on the 85th minute to make room for Ahmed Musah who added a little bite to the game with his speed.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria top Group C with 3 points after Cape Verde and Central Africa Republic share a point apiece after a 1-1 draw.
Nigeria must win their next game away against Cape Verde if they must keep the top spot and the dream of reaching Qatar 2022 alive.

The second goal was equally a fine finish after Iheanacho made a beautiful turn to plant the ball home.
