Senegal winger, Ismaila Sarr once again proved why he is an important component of Watford’s side on Saturday.
The lanky and pacey wide-man was on hand to save the day for the Hornets against Newcastle United in their 1-1 draw at the Vicarage Road on match day 6.
The first 20 minutes of the game did not produce any goals until the 23rd when the visitors broke the deadlock through Sean Longstaff.
Longstaff received a pass from a quickly taken corner quick before beautifully curling the ball behind goalkeeper Ben Foster in post for Watford.
The Magpies who were bent on claiming all three points held on to the slim lead going into the first half break.
Back from recess, Watford will have other ideas as losing before their home fans will be a nightmare.
A corner kick floated in by Nigeria international, Emmanuel Dennis was head-tipped by Joshuah King which went straight to Ismaila Sarr to properly head home the equalizer on the 72nd minute.
Newcastle United, Carl Darlow parried Emmanuel Dennis’s strike from about 20 yards late in the game which Joshuah King tapped in the advantage for Watford’s winner but VAR ruled the goal out as offside leaving the game at 1-1 after full time.
Watford are still 11th on the league table with 7 points after 6 matches .
Sarr has made six appearances this season, scoring four goals with no assist. He scored twice last week when Watford beat Norwich 3-1.
