Head coach of Karela United, Bismark Kobby Mensah has admitted to meeting a tough opposition in Aduana Stars in their opening fixture of the 2021/22 league season.
The Anyinase based club were held to a 1-1 draw by two time Ghana Premier League champions, Aduana Stars at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park on Sunday.

Karela United sank momentarily under Aduana Stars opening goal from former Asante Kotoko winger, Emmanuel Gyamfi.
Karela however regrouped with some breathtaking display which resulted in the equalizer through the boot of striker Aziz Dogo.

Karela United coach, Bismark Kobby Mensah said: “We have to build on the good things that we did and also correct the mistakes and that is all.
“We have a very good team. Today we were not bad at all.
“It’s only that we also met a very strong opposition we have to be fair Aduana played well,” Bismark Cobby Mensah said.

Karela United under former coach, Evans Adotey rallied from a goal down to defeat Aduana Stars in the first round of last season and Cobby Mensah says the opening 1-1 draw this term is a disappointing result.
“To me it’s a very disappointing result because I wanted us to win the game but when you look at the general performance of both teams, I think it’s a fair reflection of the game.
“Because Aduana showed us that they have a very matured team, they played well, it was like a 50-50 game so I think good results.” Bismark Cobby Mensah added.
