Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Samuel Boadu has assured the club’s following of becoming unstoppable as soon as possible.
The Phobians’ title defence has not started on a brighter note after going two opening matches without a win.
The millennium champions opened their 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season with a goalless draw against Legon Cities FC at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday.
Hearts of Oak were on the verge of recording a win in week 2 against West Africa Football Academy in Sogakope when striker, Kofi Kodzi opened the scoring in the 44th minute from a well taken Salifu Ibrahim pass.
The young Academy Boys however did not allow themselves to be bullied by the defending league champions with Sampson Agyapong pulling the equalizer on the 59th minute after a tap in from close range.
The result leaves Hearts of Oak with two games without a win and a goal each scored and conceded.
Samuel Boadu has ruled out any form of pressure and is sure of a turn around in the subsequent games.
“There is a little mistake that we need to correct it.
“The goal that we conceded, from the dug our I could see that it was a misunderstanding or miscommunication that cost us for them to cancel that goal.
“Not at all [no pressure], me I know myself maybe from fourth match going things will change.
“When Hearts of Oak start picking up we are unstoppable,” Samuel Boadu said after the game.
Samuel Boadu admits that WAFA are a good side which he had to map a strategy to halt their insurgence.
“Tactically they are very discipline, their tactical awareness is ok.
“They are very young, they run a lot but we strategized not to allow them to advance.
“Because whenever they cross the centre [line], the only thing that they do is, they fast game to advance, they won’t come back so we planned to lock them always when they get the ball they should send the ball back or always send to the wings and their wings too are blocked.” Samuel Boadu added.
Accra Hearts of Oak’s journey in the next three games is a tough one with a week three home clash against two time champions, Aduana Stars.
They will be the guests of AshantiGold in week four at the Len Clay Stadium before hosting Berekum Chelsea in match day five at the Accra Sports Stadium.
