Head coach of Karela United, Bismark Kobby Mensah has been left disappointed by his side’s failure to make use of the goal scoring chances against AshantiGold.
The Anyinase based club sold out a good game at the Len Clay Stadium on Saturday, holding the Miners to a 1-1 draw in match week two.
It was Karela United who shocked the home fans with the opener when midfielder, Mohammed Dafie Humid rattled the grass with a sweeping strike on the 35th minute.
AshantiGold were made to dig deep in search of the equalizer which eventually arrived from the boot of Isaac Opoku Agyemang with five minutes to the break.
Bismark Kobby Mensah, who masterminded a 1-1 home draw against Aduana Stars in their opening game last Sunday, admits his side’s profligacy in front of goal.
“I think I’m a bit disappointed with the result because we came here for a purpose, we came here with a plan, it worked but I think that at the end we couldn’t take the three points, I’m a bit disappointed.
“We lacked the clinical finishing because we had some few few chances that I think we should have turned it into goals.
“There were so many situations that I think we’d Gould have turned it into goals that is why I’m very disappointed.
“We played well and I our plan worked very well,” Bismark Kobby Mensah said.
Karela United have now earned two points from two game and will head into their week three game at home to former champions, Berekum Chelsea.
