Former Ghana Black Stars midfielder, Rabiu Mohammed says he is open to a return to the domestic league provided a club can meet his wages.
The former Liberty Professionals player left Ghana a decade ago for his European journey after earlier moves to Spanish clubs like Gimnastic and Xerez as well as Italian Serie A club, Sampdoria all on loan.
He joined another Serie A side Udinese permanently, who will then send him on loan to French Ligue 1 Club, Évian in 2010 for regular playing time. The French outfit will later sign him on a 2-year deal.
He left France in 2014 for Russia where he joined Kuban Krasnodar for a 3-year deal before leaving on a free to feature for Anzhi Makhachkala for just a season.
He took a 2-year career break after battling a strange injury before a return to Russia football with former club, Anzhi Makhachkala and KS Samara all for a season.
There was a return to French football for the 31-year-old in the 2019/20 season where he signed a short term deal with Ligue 2 club, Paris FC before a season’s spell back in Russia with PFK Tambov.
Rabiu who is currently unattached, says he will only play for a club which can pay his wages.
“I am very ready to play for any local club which can meet my demands.
“The Ghana Premier League is a competitive league and I don’t mind playing for any club which is ready for me.” He told Hot fm.
