West Africa Academy midfielder, Sampson Agyapong says they will keep fighting to get good results in the season.
WAFA, who were red hot last season, started the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League on a jerky note after losing 1-0 to a revived King Faisal at the Baba Yara Stadium in week one.
They returned to their fortress in Sogakope to frustrate and eventually hold league champions, Hearts of Oak to a 1-1 draw.
Sampson Agyapong who cancelled Kofi Kordzi’s 44th minute opener for the Phobians, believes they will soon begin to win games as the season wears on.
“We lost the first game but we are going to improve.
“We will keep fighting, we believe in ourselves that we are going to make ourselves proud and everybody that believes in us.
“We know we are going to achieve what is best for us so we are going to make ourselves proud and everybody.” Sampson Agyapong said.
WAFA who placed third last season with an impressive 56 points, now have just a point from two opening matches.
They have a tall mountain to climb as they journey up North for their week three fixture against Real Tamale United who have equally claimed just a point from two games.
